2012-2013 Officers President:  Ayla Perkins Vice-President/Historian:  Alec Brewer Secretary/Treasurer:  Hart Farrell Representatives: 6th Mrs. Beal:  Amber Vaughn 6th Mr. Leonard:  Cheyenne Bowman 7th Mr. Messier:  Will Milholen 7th Mr. Senter:  Adam Shelton 8th Mrs. Lopossay:  Brenna Underwood 8th Ms. Bunch:  Katya Langdon Chatham Charter School Student Council is a student-based organization designed to help promote school spirit and leadership among students.  Students are elected in the fall to serve their fellow classmates.  The student council includes the president, vice-president/historian, secretary/treasurer, and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade homeroom representatives. The student council's goal is to engender a sense of MS community through activities that enhance students' lives. Students participating will maintain a high standard of personal conduct.  Council members will demonstrate leadership qualities by serving as good examples of behavior through their words and actions. All Council members will be expected to participate in approved activities.   The purpose of student council is: To develop positive attitudes and to practice good citizenship. To promote harmonious relations throughout the entire school. To improve student/faculty relationships. To improve school morale and general welfare. To provide a forum for student expression. To plan special events or projects.  Students must be very responsible people who are willing to work hard.   As student council members you will be called to serve other students by representing their issues.  The council does not have the power to change policies, only to voice student opinion.
