We hope you are doing well and are safe at home. Throughout this challenging time, we have been heartened by how so many of you have risen to the occasion and shown resilience, creativity, humor, and appreciation. We have all grown as a result of this experience, and our administration hopes, in spite of the negatives, that we will all take the lessons we’ve learned (academically and as people) and use them for good.
We want to reiterate that we have multi-layered plans for the things we normally do at the end of a school year. With the uncertainties that remain about the timing of areas across the state opening back up, we are waiting to decide the best options until we learn more. However, we will definitely keep you in the loop so please closely follow our social media posts, SchoolMessenger announcements, and website in the coming days.
Week of April 20th
Monday - teacher workday, no assignments for students
Tuesday-Friday - regular distance learning
It is very important that students complete all assignments for the week of April 20th as well as any assignments from previous weeks that a teacher may still choose to accept. (Follow your teachers’ guidelines for late work.) This is a crucial point in the semester so please stay committed to schoolwork because there will not be many more grades to help improve averages.
Plans for the Week of April 27th
As we near the end of the spring semester, there are typically many extra activities that take place across grade levels. The week of April 27th is going to be dedicated to exploring areas of individual interest and things outside of typical assignments. It will still be a K-12 distance learning week, but without grading. Our faculty is planning fun activities and resources for you now. They will be ready for you to explore on the Temporary Distance Learning Hub starting Tuesday, April 28. We hope you will all look forward to a different kind of instructional week as we end the month of April.
Note: College coursework for juniors and seniors will continue as usual the week of April 27th since those classes are through CCCC.
