The administration of Chatham Charter School is excited to announce a short-term partnership with the School Nutrition Services of Chatham County Schools that will allow Chatham Charter students to receive free lunches at school as well as a weekly set of “take home” meals. There are no income or other requirements affiliated with eligibility; the opportunity is open to all K-12 students for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
The meal program will begin for Chatham Charter on Monday, March 1, for any families who register in time. However, the program will remain open the remainder of this school year for any families who decide to join later.
• Nutrition staff will deliver warm lunches that include a beverage, cutlery and condiments when students are in attendance on campus and have registered for the program to eat during their regular lunch periods.
• Take Home Meals will be sent home with Purple Team students on Tuesdays and with Teal Team students on Fridays.
• Families of fully remote students will be able to pick up meals curbside on Wednesdays from 10:30am-1:00pm at a school near their homes. In taking the survey that was sent to families via School Messenger, they will be able to choose which school in Chatham County Schools is most convenient for them.
More info will post as it becomes available. More information can be found on our website here and at Chatham County Schools Nutrition Services website here.
