School closing March 16-30, 2020

On Saturday afternoon, March 14, 2020, Governor Cooper issued an executive order that directed the closure of all public school facilities in North Carolina for students from at least March 16-30. Please refer to the School Messenger sent today for more details on the school schedule as we temporarily move to a school-wide distance learning program. Details on program implementation will be sent to everyone on Monday.

Note: Chatham Charter’s spring break will be as planned the week of March 23rd. No K-12 instruction will take place that week. Some online NCVPS and CCCC classes may continue that week, however.

Home Technology Access Surveys

On Friday, staff sent home paper copies of a home technology access surveys with K-5 students. Middle and high school students received an online survey through their school email. It is imperative that the school has all surveys completed by no later than Monday morning. Families of K-5 students should scan or photograph completed surveys and email them to their homeroom teachers this weekend. If your student was absent Friday or has not taken the survey, please help them do so immediately. A copy of the survey is attached to today's SchoolMessenger email message.
