With the March 23rd update of the StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit, Chatham Charter School is now able to invite all middle and high school students to join K-5 students in having on-campus instruction four days a week starting Tuesday, April 6, which is after spring break. Wednesdays will still be used as flex days through the end of the current school year. The school will continue to follow required protocols in the Toolkit with regard to health and safety.
As part of these protocols, parents/guardians and staff are responsible for conducting home-based symptom screening. Staff and students must disclose and stay at home/go home if:
They have tested positive for COVID-19, until they meet criteria for return.
They have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19, until they meet criteria for return.
They are showing COVID-19 symptoms, until they meet criteria for return.
Fever (temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher)
Cough (for people with chronic cough due to allergies or asthma, a change in their cough from baseline)
Difficulty breathing (for people with asthma, a change from their baseline breathing)
New loss of taste or smell
Diarrhea or vomiting
New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever
