Lately there have been several fake social media events, particularly on Facebook, claiming to be live streams of Chatham Charter volleyball games. This is a known phishing attempt to gain access to unsuspecting fans’ social media accounts or other sensitive information. Please know that Chatham Charter athletic events are only available to be live streamed through the NFHS network. If you see, are tagged or invited to an event that you think is bogus, please do not click on it or respond to it. If you take any action at all, the best thing to do is to report the event or page that is “hosting” it to Facebook, as this violates the company’s Terms of Service.
For those interested in live-streaming our games, the cost is $10.99/month or $69.99 for the annual package. Chatham Charter receives a percentage of all annual subscriptions. You can also watch away games of opponents that have Pixellot. Clover Garden, Cornerstone, and Woods all are getting the system, but may not be working yet. More schools may also have the system, or may be getting the system. Additionally, as a subscriber, you can watch other schools on the network across the country. Each account allows streaming on one device. More information on customer support for NFHS can be found here.
“When you consider the gate fee for attending games is $5 per person, the annual pass pays for itself, even in our shortened season of 14 games,” said Chatham Charter Athletic Director Clint Fields. “Add to that the issue of spectator limitations and the fact that our school’s athletic program will actually get a portion of the annual subscription fee back as a donation, and this can be a great deal for people otherwise unable to attend in person. We just want our fans to be sure they’re accessing these live-stream events through the correct channel, which is only the NFHS Network.”
